Today at about 12:17pm, I got a call on my landline from this number. The person said they were calling from my bank, telling me there’d been some dodgy transactions on my card, including something paid to Amazon. They wanted me to press buttons on my phone based on what I said next. I know this trick is often used by scammers trying to steal bank details. So I cut the call straight away and contacted my bank to let them know. Normally I don’t pick up calls from unknown numbers but I was expecting news about a mate who was taken to hospital.
