Got a phone call from someone pretending to be HMRC, telling me I'm being investigated. The voice sounded Asian, which was a bit suspicious. The number appeared as a UK mobile, so I asked if he was from the Canterbury branch (my local town, but there’s no HMRC office there). He quickly clammed up once he twigged I knew it was a dodgy call. These calls are definitely dodgy and should be flagged as dangerous.
