After making an online purchase, I got a rather convincing text purportedly from my credit card provider. The message prompted me to reply with 'Y' if the transaction was fine or 'N' if there was an issue. It even included the name of my card provider, which made it all the more believable. I was almost taken in by it! Luckily, I took the time to read the entire message, and towards the end, it advised me to call the number found on the reverse side of my card. That’s when it dawned on me that it was a scam. What a narrow escape!
