Someone called saying they were from Lloyds and surprisingly knew loads about me, even my mum’s maiden name. Then they asked me to move money to an account under the name “Atiya Lawal”.

I got a call earlier today from a private number, the guy said he was Andrew with Lloyds fraud team and that there was suspicious stuff happening on my account, and he said I’ll get a text soon. I asked him for his Lloyds staff ID to check, then he just ended the call. Definitely a scam, don’t get tricked! If you’re not certain, just end the call and ring your bank yourself.

Got a text claiming to be from MBNA saying a purchase from Delonghi was turned down and asking me to reply yes or no. It was pretty worrying and stressful, but I just ignored it and blocked the number. Bit annoying, really.

I had a call from someone pretending to be the MBNA Fraud dept. They tried to scam nearly £10,000 from my bank but made a few mistakes that made me suspicious. Honestly, it sounded pretty real at first, but be careful - if you pick up, don’t share any details at all! Definitely hang up on these types.
