This number left me an automated voicemail saying it was the metropolitan police about some kind of probe. It was obvious to me it was a scam, so I just ignored the call.

Phone just rings but no one talks? I called back and some bloke said he was from insurance. I started making up a whole story about crashing my car and kept him chatting for about ten minutes 😂 Then I told him I was messing with him the whole time and do you know what? He just hung up! Honestly, it’s the best way to waste their time and have a laugh. Funny thing is, they never ring again after that!

07782 831984 - SCAM ALERT I got a robo call saying something about my card being charged and it was supposedly from a security system. Just as it started to explain more, the call cut off. Definitely sounded like a scam to me!

Got a call from someone saying they were with Hastings Insurance about an accident I never had, so I just ended the call. Then about ten minutes afterwards, another call came through from a number that looked quite similar - this time it was someone with a thick Indian accent saying they were a solicitor. Bit dodgy if you ask me, I reckon it's connected to adverts I put up on Gumtree!

these scammers just wont quit, they've been blowing up my phone nonstop for like a week now

I put up an ad on Gumtree and within five minutes, I got three calls from what seemed like insurance scammers. The numbers that rang me were 02081237235 and 01615625458. Really annoying how quick these dodgy calls come through!

I’ve been getting nonstop calls from these lot - always the same accent but different names, none of which sound genuine. Before they even start talking, I cut them off and say I haven't been involved in any accident, whether as a driver or passenger, and neither have my family. Then I tell them to save their breath before they ask any more questions and they just hang up. I’ve blocked their number now, but I’m sure they’ll just ring me from somewhere else. Properly irritating!

So, this bloke with a voice that totally didn’t sound anythin’ like British called me up sayin’ he’s a lawyer and got my info from some car insurance firm. The number he kept ringin’ from was 02081237235. Honestly, he kept on ringin’ non stop, proper annoying! Eventually, I just gave up answerin’ the phone!

this person had a really thick indian accent and said they were a solicitor, but I just hung up right away, didn’t want to deal with it.

They keep ringing me, saying they’re from the national accident helpline, and it’s like 3 calls every single day but from different numbers each time. I just started telling them to buzz off and hanging up straight away. Honestly, they’re the worst for pestering, how are these lot still allowed to do this?

They rang me up claiming they needed to verify who I am about a car crash. They threatened to contact my insurance if I didn’t cooperate. When I asked how they got my number, they got quite rude and kept pressing if I'd been in an accident or not, saying they'd figure it out anyway. I told them straight I wasn’t sharing any details with them and if there’s any issue, I’d hear from my insurance first.

Got a call about some supposed insurance claim. When I asked if it was about that accident with my cat, they confirmed it was. Then told me they’d get a supervisor to handle it, so I just ended the call and blocked them straight away.
