I received a text message labelled VERIFY, and the contents were a bit alarming. It stated that there had been some unauthorised activity on my account, urging me to log in to regain access. Naturally, it included a link for me to follow. I decided to probe a bit deeper into the message, and when I clicked on 'more info,' it mentioned that the service centre could be reached at this phone number. Quite concerning, don’t you think?

I've just received a text urging me to get in touch with Ryanair regarding a flight that doesn’t seem to exist, labelled UTG6TS. Quite odd, isn't it?

Received a text alert indicating some peculiar happenings with my PayPal account, urging me to log in immediately via a link to uk.paypal.signin2.uk.com - clearly not an authentic PayPal URL.

Received a message from this number that read: "Your payment is pending confirmation. Please verify your account here - http://bit.ly/2FSHpzE" The message contained no additional details whatsoever. I strongly suspect it's just another scam, similar to those I've encountered before.

This morning, I received a message regarding my vehicle, instructing me to drop an email to [email protected]. Shortly after, I got a similar email claiming they couldn’t pick it up and were proposing to send a courier instead, discussing payment through this courier route and so forth. I’m really relieved I took the time to investigate before I replied or shared any personal details!

I just received a text stating, "Your P60 refund of £972.39 is awaiting processing. Kindly follow the secure link provided; your bank might need some additional verification." http://bit.do/duXvl. Yet another dodgy scam-don’t engage with it!

Received a message from someone asserting they were interested in purchasing my vehicle listed on Gumtree. They mentioned they could make payment today through PayPal. However, they insisted they couldn't pick it up themselves and would arrange for a courier instead. They even claimed to have a disability and were purchasing on behalf of a family member. Just a heads up, I didn't get any concrete information from them. Stay alert!

I got a text informing me that my order from Wickes is ready for pick-up in Dudley, but I’m actually more than 150 miles away! Didn’t bother replying to that strange message.

I've had a run-in with this email, [email protected], too. It’s certainly looking like a scam to me. Cheers for sharing your experiences, everyone. It's great to look out for one another!

I've received a similar message myself. I responded with a cheeky "no chance, only cash in hand". Haven't heard a peep since. I suspect they might be trying to exploit PayPal's buyer protection to snag a refund while still making off with the car.

I received a rather peculiar text from someone claiming to be a disabled individual interested in purchasing my car for their cousin. I had listed my vehicle on GUMTREE, and this person insisted on using PAYPAL for the transaction, stating they didn’t want to view the car beforehand and were willing to pay the full asking price. My instincts were piqued, especially when I attempted to respond and my phone flashed a glaring red warning symbol. I even tried calling, but the number was unreachable. In my effort to clarify matters, I reached out via Gmail to the address provided in the initial text, which was [email protected]. I proposed to deliver the car for cash if the buyer happened to be nearby. Strangely enough, I never heard back from them. In hindsight, I can't shake the feeling that it was all a scam.

Received a rather dodgy message today that raised my eyebrows right away. I'm a customer with HSBC, and the number seemed quite informal, almost too casual. It’s quite clear that UK banks would never request personal information in such a manner. Definitely kept my guard up!

I recently received a dodgy text purportedly from HSBC, urging me to click on a link. After a bit of searching online, I discovered that this particular number has a dubious history, with reports of it circulating in various countries since 2012. It's a right nuisance!

Last week, I received a text from this number claiming it was a complimentary message, but subsequent messages would cost me 75 pence each. Quite bizarre, really. Then today, I had another message that included my first name, stating, "You've received a new photo message." It provided a link: http://goo.gl/tjhoaz. I tried to look it up online, but apparently, I'm entering the wrong number. The thing is, I own an ancient Nokia 3310, which doesn't have a camera or any internet capabilities, so I’m at a loss here!
