So this number rang me after I’d texted something like STEP to 88010 to give £2 to a donkey charity. I then got a text telling me someone from this number would phone me to ‘take payment over the phone’. Nope, that’s not happening, so I blocked it. What they’re really after is getting me on the phone to pressure me into donating more or signing up for a direct debit. Honestly, this kind of pressure from charities is just awful.

I was waiting for a call back from WWF (World Wildlife Fund) and just missed a ring. So, I used 1471 to check the number and found this one. I then rang WWF on their 01483 landline to confirm if the missed call was from them, and they said yes, it was their donation team contacting me. Turns out, charities like WWF are now using 0778 numbers. I used to think any missed calls from 0778 were just random mobile misdials, but clearly I was wrong!

I saw a water aid appeal on TV and decided to reply. Ever since then, this number has been ringing me loads. I picked up twice but there was no one there. Really frustrating!

After spotting adverts on telly, I gave some dosh to Save the Children, Oxfam, and Water Aid. Now, my phone won't stop ringing non-stop from them all! Most of the calls come from different 07781 numbers. Honestly, I’m just done and gonna block every one of these numbers.
