Got a call from a number that looked like it was from abroad, maybe India. The person claimed to be from Citizens Advice and was telling me what I needed to do, just like they did the last time they rang. I just hung up after explaining again that I knew what I had to do.

This number rang me twice yesterday and once today. The person had a foreign accent and actually knew my name, which was a bit creepy. I hung up straight away. When they called again today and I didn’t answer, I tried ringing back, not realising it was the same number from before. To my surprise, it said the number was invalid. Honestly, it baffles me how these scammers keep getting away without getting caught or charged.

i answered thinking it was a regular mobile as i was waiting for someone to ring me. turns out it was a bloke speaking with a foreign accent claiming he’d gone through my files and had a fix for all the money i supposedly owed. bit dodgy if you ask me!

Somebody rang me up saying I owed money they were trying to collect, which I denied. Then they told me to ‘check my bank’ before just hanging up on me. The bloke sounded pretty rude, and I can see how someone struggling with money might fall for that. When I asked where exactly he was calling from, he didn’t seem too happy about me questioning him.
