Somebody rang me saying my phone would be disconnected in an hour unless I pressed 1 for UK or 2 for China, then asked for card details. How do these scammers even get hold of our numbers? They really should find something better to do than bother us all the time.

This is my number but I didn’t make those calls. Someone's been spoofing my number to hide who they really are when they ring people. Seems like scammers have chosen my digits to cover their tracks. I've tried telling some people who got the calls it's not me, but I can’t reach everyone. Because of this, I’m now unable to make any calls within the UK.

They rang me up saying if I didn’t pay with my card within two hours, they’d disconnect my phone. I just ended the call straight away and put a block on the number.

They called me saying my phone was being used for some illegal stuff. I didn’t hang about, just ended the call and blocked their number straight away. Total scam and spam, no doubt about it.

Got a call yesterday that was all in Chinese, came from a 3G number or something. Today I got another one, same language, no clue where they’re calling from. Is this some kinda new trend or something?
