When my phone buzzed with this unfamiliar number, I chose not to pick up, as I had no clue who it was. Later, I checked my voicemail and the message was quite off-putting. It was an automated voice, sounding like a stiff, posh English bloke in his middle years, warning me about some illegal trouble linked to my National Insurance number. He told me to press 1 immediately to fix the issue or else I'd face arrest. Definitely a scam - I blocked the number straight away.
