Got a call where some recorded voice with a US accent told me I hadn’t paid my taxes and I needed to press "1" to stop going to court and possibly jail. I went ahead and pressed it, but the line just cut off. I tried ringing back, just out of curiosity, but the number was switched off almost instantly. Watch out calling numbers like this, they might cost you a fortune. Probably just some bloke in Bangalore named Kevin - you know, one of those ridiculously common Indian names - pretending to work for HMRC from his bedroom, but really just another dodgy scammer.
