On the 22nd of January 2016, I got two calls. The first one lasted just a second, and the other went on for nearly a minute, both of them at 17:53.

I got a ring from these so-called debt collectors again, a bunch of shady folks from Asia. I decided to waste their time and had them chatting for nearly an hour. After messing about, I blurted out that I was with the FBI and had tracked their phone. The bloke on the other end flipped out, shouting all sorts of profanities before slamming the phone down. I gave them a ring back, but surprise, surprise, their line was only for making calls, not receiving. Lesson learnt: don’t get clever trying to scam a scammer - it just pisses them off! What a load of muppets.

Seriously, that so-called citizen advice was rubbish! Turned out to be a debt scam company. Thankfully, I’ve gone ahead and blocked their number now!

This guy with a really obvious fake English name but a thick Indian accent rang me up claiming he worked for some government agency and could wipe out half my debts! Strangely, he had all my details - name, address, postcode and phone number I’ve never shared with anyone! I asked him how on earth he got hold of my info and the details about my debt, and he just lost it and cut me off!

I got a call saying they were from Citizens Advice, but it was on my mobile. When I told them I thought it was a scam, they just ended the call straight away.

Got a missed call earlier, but after reading all the comments, I think I’ll just leave it be and not ring back.

Some guy calling from something called CAB claimed he could assist with clearing debts. I told him I don't owe anything and he just ended the call. I always thought the CAB wasn't involved in debt stuff, very confusing.

Some bloke with a strong accent called me, said he was from some government department and asked about a debt I supposedly owed. When I asked some questions back, he just hung up on me. Definitely sounded like a scam trying to get my bank info. Be careful and don't trust these calls!

Got a call earlier where the bloke asked for me by name, and when I said yes it was me, the call suddenly cut off. Tried calling back but every time it says I’ve dialled the wrong number. Suspicious, to say the least! Had a quick look on this site and noticed loads of others have had the same happen today.

Got a call from a bloke with an Indian accent who said his name was John Meyers. He claimed the UK government was cancelling all credit card debts to help cut down the national deficit. I told him that sounded pretty unlikely, which didn’t go down well - he snapped at me and said if I wasn’t gonna listen, I should stop wasting his time. Then he hung up. Definitely a scam, probably trying to nick credit card details. Best thing to do is just hang up straight away.

Got a phone call from a guy with an Indian accent claiming to be from some fraud investigation team about a loan I supposedly had. I told him I don’t have any loan at all and he just cut the call straight away. Feels a bit dodgy to me, like they might be fishing for bank info from others. Watch out all!

I just got a call from someone claiming they were with the Credit Investigation Department. Didn't sound right to me, so I said I wasn’t familiar with them and ended the call pretty quick.

Got a call from a bloke with an Indian accent saying something about my unpaid debts. Seems like a total scam since I don’t owe anyone a penny. No idea where they pulled that info from!

Got a call from some bloke claiming I owed money, which is rubbish. When I called him out on it, he just ended the call straight away. Definitely steer clear of this one.

I ended the call. When I tried ringing back, which I usually do since my work involves answering calls from staff on their mobiles, it said the number was wrong. This has happened with a few other numbers too, so now I've put it on my block list.

Got a call from this guy with an Indian accent claiming he got my info from some financial standards group about money I supposedly owe. This is actually the second time I've received a call like this from an unknown mobile number. Seems like a total scam to me, so watch out everyone!

I got a call from some bloke who wanted to talk to me, claiming he was from the Citizens Advice Bureau. Told him I was busy at work and needed to be brief, and he just cut me off straight away. When I tried ringing him back, the number was dead. Quite dodgy if you ask me.
