My elderly folks got a call on their home phone from some dodgy offshore scammer. They said there was a payment of nearly two hundred quid to Amazon on their card and told them to press 1 to confirm it or 2 to talk to security. I decided to mess about and pretended to go along with it. The call ended up connecting to what sounded like a busy call centre. I confronted the bloke about it and he just hung up on me.
