Got a robotic message claiming to be from Amazon saying they'd charge me for their prime subscription, and if I didn’t want it, I had to press 1. I haven’t shopped with Amazon in ages, so I just ended the call and didn’t press anything.

This week, I got a couple of calls warning me that a payment for Amazon Prime was going to be taken soon. I didn’t stick around to hear more and just ended the call straight away. Just to be safe, I had a quick look at my Amazon account since I'd signed up for a Prime trial not long ago, but there wasn’t any payment pending. That’s when it clicked that it was definitely a scam.
