I got a call from a number like this before, and it was probly the same bloke or someone who sounds just like him. He claimed to be from Citizens Advice, like last time. I told him he wasn’t from there and that I’d already reported the last call to Action Fraud. After that, he kept telling me to f### off, so I just hung up. This guy is really dodgy and should be stopped.

07778 441122, some woman with an asian accent phoned me saying there’s a profile with my name linked to debt. She asked if I could pay it off monthly. I asked what debt she meant, as I haven’t got any loans or credit cards. She said she believed it was a credit card. I politely told her I don’t owe anything and if she rings back I’ll be reporting the number for harrassment since it seemed like a scam.

sat 17/10/15 - got a call on my cellphone from a bloke with a strong indian accent claiming to be from citizens advice bureau - he went " morning, ive got papers from vish to go over” - when i said "oh yeah?" he went quiet for ages - then kept saying he'd received stuff from my "creditors" - i told him to "f*** off" (if you catch my drift) and he just hung up. ive blocked the number now. no doubt some scammer from india trying it on.

Got a call from an Asian guy at around half past two, going on about some Citizens Advice nonsense. I told him I wasn't buying it, and he just told me to "f##k off, you slag" before hanging up on me! Tried ringing the number back but it said I'd dialled a wrong number. Checked with my phone company and they said it's likely a scam and I shouldn't bother calling again.

Got a call from 07778 441122, some Asian bloke who sounded like he was from Thailand claiming to be from Citizens Advice. He was asking for someone else. When I asked why Citizens Advice would call from a mobile, he said they use internet calls and told me to call back. I told him that’s fine, I’ve got the official number saved and will call them instead. Then he got really rude and hung up. Bit of a shame, I was just starting to get interested.

Got called a few times by this and some similar numbers. They say they’re from some kind of debt help or citizen advice thing, but every time the person sounds like they’re not from here. I’ve ended up blocking like three different numbers already.

Total scam. Some guy with a strong Indian accent claiming he was from the credit investigation bureau in Manchester. He knew my name and said I owed money. But when I asked why he was calling from a mobile and I could hear background noise like he was outside, I just hung up. How do these lot get hold of our numbers? And why isnt anyone doing anything about it? It’s proper worrying when they start threatening you like that.

Someone rang me saying they were from the Citizens Advice Bureau. I was suspicious because I'd already had a call from a different number earlier this week. I asked, "Are you sure you're from the Citizens Advice Bureau?" and he said yes. Then he went on about me owing money and all that nonsense. When I asked again if he was really with the CAB, he just ended the call. Shame, I was ready to mess them about a bit.

Today I got a call from the same number 07778 441122, this time some bloke with an Asian accent telling me I had debts and that someone I owed was upset about the payments and might send it to a debt collector. I figured it was a scam straight away, so I started acting all awkward and kept asking him who this lender was. I didn’t give any personal info, just kept firing questions. Eventually, when he couldn't get the answers he wanted, he just hung up!

I got a call from an Asian woman claiming I owe some money. She kept trying to get my details but I wasn’t having any of it. The call lasted about 10 minutes and she got so annoyed she just hung up on me. Proper cheeky, she refused to tell me which company she was with and just kept saying something like ping pong ping pong. Honestly, I was fuming - can’t stand people being that rude!

yesterday (13th oct 15) around 1.04pm i got a call on my mobile from a bloke with an indian accent saying his name was nigel williams. he claimed to be from the financial conduct authority and asked if i had any unsecured debts. the number shown was 07778 441122. i told him straight away he sounded like a scammer and asked for his business address so i could report him. he didn’t want to share it but somehow read out my home address right. it’s worrying cos the FCA is a proper official agency and folks might get fooled by this.

(16 Oct 15) Got a call today at 9.57am from 07778 441122. They claimed to be from the UK government’s National Advice Department in Manchester, saying if I owed over £5K in debt, I could write off 60% by paying £80 a month for 60 months (which totals £4800 - haha!). They kept saying they were based in Manchester, but when I asked for an address, they refused and said I’d see them in the papers. They gave me a website [#]nationaladvice[###], but when it didn’t load, they said it must be my internet messing up. I asked about the weather in Manchester and they just hung up!

This number has rung me up 3 times just this week. After the second call, I looked it up online and realised it was a scam. I just spoke to them under 5 minutes ago and gave them a right telling off! I made it clear I knew it wasn’t genuine and told them to take my number off their list or I’d report them to the authorities. All they could do was stammer 'Uh, uh.' It’s pretty worrying, as I can see loads of elderly people could easily get tricked by this.

I’ve been a victim of fraud before from an ex, which I reported to the police. Today, this number rang me claiming they had my info from the police and said they were from Citizens Advice, offering to reduce my debts. I nearly fell for it until they switched the company name to Debt Guardian after a few minutes. For a second, I actually thought someone was trying to help me. Should’ve remembered there ain’t many genuinely kind people out there. Be careful, don’t trust or share personal info - it’s all just fraud and scams!

Seems like a gang scheme aimed at conning money from folks, especially targeting those who are vunerable. Watch out and never share your personal details.

Got a call from a bloke with an Asian accent telling me I owe £14,000 and that I’m paying it off at £317 each month or something. That came out of nowhere cause I haven’t got any debts! He was shouting at me like it was a fact and said he got my phone number from citizens advice - what a load of rubbish.
