Loads of weird calls lately, so when 07778029911 popped up I didn’t even bother picking up. Seen loads of comments warning about numbers like that (cheers for the heads-up, really useful). I reckon anything starting with 0777 and I don’t know is best left unanswered. Such a hassle having to deal with all these random calls!

I keep getting inundated with calls from this number, all from an Indian chap insisting that I owe some debt, which frankly, I don’t possess. I've repeatedly asked him to cease his incessant ringing or I'd go ahead and report him. Yet, the calls just won't let up! I've recently decided to block the number, but lo and behold, I've since started receiving calls from the very same 'firm' on a different number-07778051144 is the latest one. Just a heads-up to keep your eyes peeled for that one as well!

I keep getting calls from this number! Picked up a couple of times and each time it was different - first a bloke, then a lady, both sounded foreign and were really rude. They keep saying I owe money on some Visa Credit card, but I don't even have one! So annoying!

I've received a couple of rather unpleasant phone calls from what they claim to be debt collectors concerning an outstanding Visa credit card payment. The thing is, I don't even possess a Visa Debit card! It's all rather baffling, really.

Got a call from an Asian guy claiming he was from CAB, saying he wanted to help me sort out some unsecured debts. I told him I didn’t have any and that it’s against the law to pretend to be a legit organisation! He started swearing at me then just dropped the call!

I received a call from this number during the day. There had been several missed calls from them, so I thought I'd take the plunge and pick up. A gentleman with an accent, claiming to represent Trading Standards, informed me that there was a grievance lodged by my loan provider regarding my monthly repayments being too low. I’ve made a payment arrangement with my lender because of some financial difficulties - I am making payments after all, so it’s odd they haven’t reached out to me directly first. When I mentioned that I was at work and couldn’t discuss this matter right then, he bluntly remarked, “Alright, I’ll forward a recording to all your creditors which will grant them authority to send bailiffs your way.” He then proceeded to name my creditors accurately, and when I insisted that I would contact them myself, he reiterated his earlier threat about the recording. I requested that he give me a ring back at 6pm, and he agreed to this. That was two days ago, and I haven’t heard a peep from him since. - Caller: Trading Standards

It's absolutely infuriating! I kept missing calls while I was at work, and each time I tried to return the call, I was met with a message saying the number was unavailable. I am so relieved I stumbled upon this site-now I can rest easy knowing it wasn't anything crucial that I was overlooking.

I've been getting a right bother from this number, receiving two calls in just two days! The first one claimed I had reached out to some loan company because I was struggling to pay my repayments. Then, the latest call mentioned they'd taken a look at my credit record and spotted some issues. Well, I can assure you, I've got no loans or debts to worry about! It's outrageous that they have my mobile number and full name; these unsolicited calls should be banned outright. They're nothing but a frustrating nuisance!

Like loads of others have said, this guy with an Asian accent rang me and already knew my name, claiming he was calling from the Citizen Advice Bureau. I asked what it was about and he started going on about some debts I supposedly owed. I’m not stupid, I know CAB never calls folks like this. I told him I didn’t owe anything and he just cut me off straight away.

I've received numerous phone calls from individuals with heavy Indian accents, claiming they've got a referral regarding my supposed debts. The problem is, I don't have any debts at all! They always seem to hang up before I can dig a bit deeper into their claims. Clearly, it's just a scam. I think I'll be adding that number to my block list.

Got a call from a man with an Asian accent claiming to be from some debt advice service, saying I owed money. I told him I didn't have any debts and asked him to take my number off their list. He refused, saying I couldn’t be removed because I supposedly owed money. I’ve checked with the official debt advice team and they confirmed there’s no debt linked to me or my family. Now I’ve blocked this number on every phone I have.

I've received a couple of missed calls from this number, so I thought I'd pick up when they rang again. On the other end was a lady with an Indian accent rambling on about IVAs and debts. I mentioned that I'm debt-free, and when I probed her on how she obtained my mobile number, she mumbled something vague about a forum before abruptly ending the call. Very peculiar, to say the least!

Got two calls over the past couple of days. The first one said I’d reached out to a cab service because I couldn’t keep up with my loan payments or something like that. Then today, I got another call saying they’d looked into my credit report and hinted there was an issue. Luckily, I don’t even have any loans. It’s really annoying how they get your full name and number like that. Surely there’s some way to block this stuff?

Oh, this lad truly thought he’d struck gold! I received a call from this number whilst sat in the waiting room. I understand how much these calls can upset folks, so I decided to play along, pretending he was from the Citizens Advice Bureau. I spun a tale about being half a million quid in debt to bookies nationwide. I could practically sense the excitement radiating from him, believing I was about to hand over my bank details to secure a quick £3,000. Honestly, he didn't even pretend to offer assistance with my imagined debts; he was just fixated on my bank details, which I promptly concocted as "BOLT" before hanging up. Had a rather dodgy call from a so-called debt recovery firm claiming I owed a fortune on my credit card. They insisted there were serious 'risk factors' involved and pressed me for my personal information. The thing is, I don’t owe a single penny to anyone! Clearly just a scammer trying their luck. I didn’t hesitate to tell him exactly what I thought of his so-called operation. The number belongs to 07778029911, just in case anyone else gets caught up in this nonsense!

This number kept ringing me non-stop throughout the day. When I tried calling back, using both my mobile and home phone, it said I’d dialled the wrong number. Whenever it reached my voicemail, they never left any message. Once, I picked up my mobile without checking the caller, and an Asian bloke was on the line asking if I was 'so and so' but he got my name wrong. When I asked who was calling, he just ended the call. These sorts of calls really need to be stopped.

They rang me up, using my name, claiming their records indicated I owed money. When I queried how they had access to that info, they brushed it off, saying it was none of their concern. Naturally, I pressed for the details about their so-called “business”, and that’s when they dropped the call. Quite the cheek, really!

That quiet Asian bloke called me up too, saying something about my credit being unsecured. Looks like a total scam to me, so I've tossed his number onto my blocked list now.

Got a call from an asian woman claiming to be some sort of case worker, but couldn’t really catch which organisation she was from before I ended the call. Seemed like one of those annoying scam calls to me.

Last night, I received a rather frustrating call from these numpties who were brazenly claiming to be affiliated with the financial ombudsman. They had the audacity to suggest that I was struggling with my credit obligations, which is utterly ridiculous since I don't have any outstanding loans. When I challenged them, they instead accused me of having catalogue debt-yet again, I maintained that wasn't the case. Their response? They resorted to some rather foul language before abruptly ending the call. Honestly, what do these con artists think they’re going to achieve with such absurd tactics? To add insult to injury, they ought to work on their English - the chap’s accent was so thick that I nearly missed what he was babbling on about!

Got a call from a bloke with an Asian accent saying he was calling from some credit firm. He claimed they had my info about some debt I supposedly owed. The moment I asked him which company exactly, he just cut the call. Number was 07778029911. Strange.

I received a rather perplexing call just now from some foolish chap claiming that my wife had met with a tragic accident last week. Meanwhile, she was right here in front of me, enjoying a lovely cup of tea! Quite the daft charade if you ask me. Caller: A drain on our community, clearly a migrant!

I received a call from someone purporting to be from the Citizens Advice Bureau, which raised my eyebrows straight away. When I pointed out that it seemed like a cold call, they got all defensive and actually asked me to explain the term “cold call”! Quite patronising, considering I had already caught them out in their fibbing. Honestly, it's quite alarming how these sorts of businesses operate, playing on people's ignorance. They really shouldn't be permitted to run their operations in such a misleading manner-pure opportunists in my view. The number that rang me was 07778029911.

A woman with an Asian accent called me today, claiming that I had outstanding debts. I firmly insisted that I wasn't in debt at all, but she pressed me once more, and I reiterated my stance. After I answered her again with a no, she abruptly ended the call. It definitely seems like a scam to me! - Caller: Asian Woman

I sincerely wish this trend continues right into my twilight years. It would certainly help stave off loneliness and provide me with a steady stream of delightful chats throughout my days. Who knows, perhaps one day someone might even treat me to a meal! But for now, let’s carry on with the blocking - to you, 07778029911!

Received three calls in a single day from this number, and each one was plagued with dreadful reception. Oddly enough, each call claimed to represent a different service - Citizens Advice, something called the World Financial Protection Agency (laughable, right?), and the Customer Service Protection Agency. What’s even stranger is that all three of them were seemingly run by a chap named Jonathon. Makes me think there's something a bit dodgy going on here! - caller: 07778029911

Received a call claiming to be from a data protection agency. Naturally, I questioned them, saying, "If you truly represent data protection, you wouldn't be reaching out to me on my personal number. Where did you obtain it?" To which they retorted, "What do you mean, if I'm really data protection?" So I responded, "If you genuinely are from data protection, it would be wise to explain the purpose of your call. Otherwise, I will terminate this conversation and add your number to my blocked contacts." Their reply was, "Well, you might as well hang up because I'm not..." At that point, I decided to end the call and block them-pretty dodgy! 😆 Definitely a scam, steer clear of this one! - caller: 07778 029911

I've received an alarming message indicating that there’s a legal case being opened against me due to some outstanding debts. They didn’t provide any details about who’s behind this. When I brought up my recent visit to the bank (Lloyds) today, the man on the other end claimed that it was indeed Lloyds pursuing legal proceedings. After I raised my voice in frustration, he abruptly cut the conversation short and now I can’t seem to reach that number again. - Caller: Unknown

I had a call from 07778029911 earlier, and it was someone named Ryan claiming to be from the Citizens Advice Bureau. He started off with the cheery question of how I was, but honestly, my day has been a bit off, and this wasn’t exactly a welcome interruption. Before I could even clarify my situation, he dove right into the subject of supposed debts. I was taken aback and firmly stated that I have no such debts. When I pressed him on how he obtained my number, he promptly hung up. Rude, really.

An Indian gentleman gave me a bell claiming to be Tom Hanks! Can you believe it? He insisted that I was in some sort of debt, but I assured him I wasn't. Then he started prying into whether I had any dealings with Sky or anyone else. I told him I hadn’t, but he seemed quite determined to convince me otherwise, as if he had some grand plan to resolve my non-existent debts! It’s a right laugh, really. Like I’d ever share my details with someone posing as the famous actor Tom Hanks from India! Get real!

Got a call from someone with an Asian accent claiming to be from a govt department, saying they were checking on my unpaid debts. I told them straight away I don’t owe anything, but they got quite edgy and quickly said they must have mixed up the info before hanging up. It made me uneasy, not sure who they really were or how they got my number. So I tried to find out who actually called and found this thread of comments. His voice was kinda hard to catch properly. It was around 1:45pm.

Got a call on my phone from someone claiming to be from CAB, saying I was behind on my loan payments. Thing is, I've never even spoken to CAB, and I don’t have any loans to worry about. Weirdly, they already had my number and even knew my name. How they got all that info is beyond me.

Had a rather bizarre phone call today. The chap on the other end said he was from some government credit agency. He went on about how if I coughed up 40% of my debts, the government would swoop in and cover the rest. I politely informed him that I didn’t actually have any debts. His response? A rather rude ‘f*ck off’ before abruptly disconnecting. Quite the odd encounter!

I got an unexpected call on my mobile at 2:15 PM on the 24th of August from someone with a rather unusual accent claiming to represent the Citizens Advice Bureau. They mentioned some issue with my loan repayments, which is quite puzzling because, for one, I’ve never reached out to them, two, my loans are all up to date, three, it’s baffling how they acquired my number in the first place, and four, they actually knew my name! It all seems too odd, doesn’t it?

I received a call from a gentleman of Asian descent, who claimed I had been chosen for a government initiative aimed at reducing 40% of my debts. When I probed further about which debts he was referencing, he mentioned credit cards and loans. Out of curiosity, I went along with his pitch. However, when I inquired about how he obtained my information, he stated it was sourced from a debt resolution registry. I clarified that I actually had no debts at all, to which he immediately retorted with, "But you mentioned having credit cards and loans," before abruptly ending the call. - number: 07778029911

Just received a rather dubious call from this number, claiming I’d been chosen for a government initiative that supposedly clears a hefty 30% of my credit card debt. Now, here’s where it gets interesting: not long after that, my bank gave me a ring to discuss some recent transactions, and shockingly, one turned out to be a scam.
