Today, I got called about 16 times and every time I picked up, the call would just drop. When I tried ringing back, the line kept going dead. Quite frustrating!

I keep getting calls from this number but whenever I pick up, there’s just silence and then they end the call. Really annoying! x

These people claimed they weren't with any firm, but said they worked for the government’s FSCS. Since I’m a civil servant, I questioned them about making cold calls like that. Then I got put through to some kind of supervisor who said he was part of a big scam and if I looked up his name online, I’d find out. They ended up calling me a nosy b***h before I just hung up on them.

Over the past day, I've had three calls from them. I picked up the first one since it was coming from a mobile and I was expecting some important info. It turned out to be a man with a foreign accent, claiming to be calling about some debt. He said I owed money and was supposedly paying it back. I told him that wasn’t really his concern, but he insisted it was, so I ended the call. They've been ringing from different mobile numbers each time. I've already blocked 07774205869 and 07773549101.

Some bloke with an accent called me, claiming I owed money, which isn’t true at all. When I told him I didn’t, he just suddenly ended the call.

Got a call from this number just now, some bloke speaking in really poor English, calling me by my old surname. Claimed he was ringing from citizens advice. Strange!

Got a call from some guy with an accent claiming to be from a credit check company about my PayPal debts. Totally a scam, pretty clear. As soon as he noticed I wasn’t buying it, he just cut the call. Proper con artists, honestly.

Got a call from this number a bit earlier today, sounded like a foreign guy talking about some debt centre or whatever. I couldn't make out most of what he was saying, told him I'm not interested and dropped the call since I didn’t recognise the number. Seems a bit sketchy to me, he sounded like he was outside somewhere quiet, which seemed odd. Anyway, I’m not in debt at all. Really don’t want this number ringing me again, otherwise I’m gonna report it and block it for good. Anyone know which company this is?

I got a call about some kind of "credit check" tied to loans and stuff I supposedly owe. The person told me I had outstanding debts, but they said they'd wipe them off at no cost.

Got a call from this number, seemed dodgy and definitely from overseas. It's a classic scam where they claim to be from a credit firm trying to fix your debts, but really they’re just after your personal info to con you. Best to just ignore it and block the number if it starts with 07777 or any strange mobile digits. Don’t let these scammers catch you out!

Dodgy caller! Said he was from Citizens Advice and working with the UK government claiming he could sort out my debts. Didn’t say where he got my number from or give any proper background, just kept pushing that I had debts I needed to clear. Felt really fishy to me.

Absolutely the most unconvincing cold call I’ve received! They brought up some vague mention of unpaid debts, mumbled the name of a company, and then got really defensive when I pressed them. What a shoddy attempt! Honestly, I'd give it a 1 out of 10.
