I got a call from a lady with a thick accent, maybe Indian or African, claiming to be from BT’s tech support. She said my internet line was at risk. Oddly enough, she knew my mobile number and an old email I barely use. She requested I check my email for a link while keeping the phone line open to ‘fix’ the problem. It didn’t take me long to spot it as a scam, so I told her to stop and ended the call.
