Got a call like the usual HMRC scam, with some robot telling me I’d been caught doing tax evasion and to press 1 to talk to someone. Then a bloke with a thick Indian accent tried to talk me into paying over 35% of my tax bill straight away. I told him there’s no way I can afford that, and he kept threatening me with a £38 daily fine if I didn’t pay up via bank transfer right then. When I said no, he just got really nasty and aggressive. Absolute con artists, honestly.
