Got a message claiming to be from HSBC about a payment, but I don’t even bank with them or use online banking. Just some mug looking for an easy payday. Do these folks really believe we're that daft? Passed it on to my in-law who works at HSBC so they’re aware. Another scammer to add to the growing pile. Honestly, get yourself a proper job and stop wasting time!

I keep getting calls daily from someone claiming to be from the Inland Revenue, threatening to have me arrested if I don’t pick up. It’s really annoying.

They didn’t say who they were, just started saying my credit card was being used fraudulently. I didn’t even listen, just hung up on her straight away and blocked the number. Funny thing is, I don’t own a credit card anyway!

They ring from all sorts of numbers, honestly. The only thing that works for me is picking up but staying silent. After a bit, they usually catch on and stop calling!

Got a call from Consumer Lifestyles, they were asking heaps of questions, trying to gather info to sell to other firms. They wanted to know what kind of home appliances we had, which mags we liked, insurance stuff and all that. Didn’t sound like they were even calling from the UK. Proper pain, honestly.

Got a call from some scammer who began belting out the Noddy theme song in the worst English ever. Couldn't make heads or tails of it!

The people on the other end often don’t sound like native English speakers, and it’s clear they’re up to some dodgy scam trying to get cash out of me.
