They actually knew my name right away. Claimed to be from Barclays, telling me there was an attempt to withdraw money from my account. I told them I don’t even have a Barclays account, and they acted all surprised. When I asked for proof, they suggested I ring the number on my credit card and mentioned a reference number to give. I didn’t really get too involved but didn’t come across as unfriendly either. I guess they caught on I wasn’t interested because when I said goodbye, they suddenly blurted out ‘Sod off’ and hung up on me. Honestly, that caught me off guard!
