Got a call supposedly from EE saying there was an account upgrade happening. They wanted a code from a password reset email to ‘activate the upgrade’. When I told them EE wouldn’t ask for that, the person said it was a one off. I asked why the password needed resetting, and was told it was for the new account setup. I kept repeating EE don’t ask for codes like that and the caller just hung up when I refused to share the code.
