Over the last day, I've had this number call me 4 times. The person on the line had an Indian accent and said they were with a life insurance firm. They wasted no time asking for the initial payment, barely 30 seconds in. I just hung up straight away.

Got a call from 207776 789000, some Indian bloke claiming to be from the gov's financial ombudsman. Said I'm due £1868 and that they'll send an official letter to prove it. They knew my name but couldn’t get my postcode right. I've had 5 calls in just a couple of days now - definitely blocking this number!

Loads of calls from India using all sorts of numbers, they keep telling me I’m due different amounts of PPI or something. Then they push life insurance on me even though I already have a policy. It’s so clearly a scam, anyone else had this happen? If you say no to paying for their life insurance, they start saying you’re not allowed to claim the money. Proper annoying, honestly pleeease share if you’ve dealt with this too.

I tried ringing back but all I could hear was a bunch of background noise, kind of like when you’re on hold with those call centre places. Then suddenly, the call dropped and no one ever picked up!

Got a call from an unknown number, didn't answer and just decided to block it straight away.

I saw a missed call from this number, so I tried ringing back but got this message saying "you've dialled a wrong number" which baffled me since I was calling from my mobile. Pretty sure it's some call centre that doesn't take incoming calls. I've gone ahead and blocked the number now.
