I got a call from a polite bloke, maybe Asian or something like that, but he never told me his name or where he was calling from. The strange thing was, he already knew my name! It’s fantastic to discover that a seller has handed over my details to a dodgy outfit! It seems that an organisation claiming to be UK Housing is under the impression that I own my home. They contacted me regarding compensation for the government's green deal insulation scheme, and while the chap on the phone seemed quite amiable, I’ve read enough to make me question things. Best steer clear of this one!

I was chatting about insulation issues, dampness, and humidity when this chap started claiming he'd been here eight years prior and wondered if I didn't recollect. I couldn't help but chuckle, considering this abode was constructed just a year ago! Then he went on about numerous complaints from the neighbours in my vicinity. The irony is, all my neighbours live in brand new homes, and not a single one has uttered a word of discontent. When I inquired which area he was referring to, he had the cheek to say, “your area”! To top it off, he was angling to schedule a visit and asked for a deposit along with my banking details. I told him to clear off!
