Just got a call claiming my Barclays account was charged £1000 for an Argos order that I supposedly made, and they gave me only 2 minutes to cancel it. Thing is, I don’t even have a Barclays account, nor did I buy anything from Argos. The rush to cancel felt really dodgy. The number they called from was 07775 745171. If you get a call like this, it’s a total scam. Don’t freak out, just hang up. If you do bank with Barclays or anyone else, it’s a good idea to double-check your account anyway.
