My partner got a ring from this number and had it on speaker before handing the phone to me. The person on the other end said they were from a debt collection agency. When my partner calmly said we didn’t owe anything, the caller went off in a totally rude and aggressive way, swearing loads and telling us to f### off repeatedly, even calling her nasty names and threatening her and her family. We get loads of annoying calls but nothing this vile ever before.

I chose not to pick up this number as it was unfamiliar to me (usually, if it’s legit, folks leave a voicemail asking for a callback - but no message this time). So, like I do, I Googled the number to check if it’s linked to anything, and turns out loads of people have reported being annoyed by calls from it today! Pretty pleased I ignored it. Steer clear of 07775 690870!

I got a call from someone who said they were with the ‘UK Standing Corporation’ or something like that (the number showed as 111771! - I think that’s what he said after I had to ask him a few times). They nearly got my name right and wanted to talk about some unsecured debts. I don’t have any, so it was a quick call. They weren’t impolite, just a bit of a nuisance!

I keep getting calls from loads of 0777 numbers, all pretending to be from Pakistan. They’re always after my bank details and personal info to pull off some kind of identity theft scam. Best thing is to just hang up and block them straight away, never give them anything. Absolute nasty scammers.

I picked up the phone just because I was curious, but after I said “hello?”, there was a bit of silence before the person on the other end spoke. They wanted to talk to #male name#, who happens to be my partner. I asked if I could pass on a message, and then they asked what time would be best to call back. I told them 8pm, and then they just hung up. I blocked the number right away. It’s obviously a scammy call, coming from a dodgy company using a fake number. They probably got hold of my number through some business selling info when I did those online surveys.

I got a call and they wanted to speak with Mr David. When I told them that was me, they just chuckled and then ended the call.
