I got a call from this number and it was some bloke called Steve from CARPROTECT trying to sell me an extended car warranty. When I asked how they got hold of my phone number, he told me they either buy it from AA or some insurance company. So yeah, that's where they got it from!

I picked up since it showed up as a mobile number rather than a landline. The guy on the other end greeted me by name and had a kinda Indian accent. He mentioned something about helping me with debt consolidation. When I told him I didn’t owe anything, he went quiet for a second and then just ended the call. I’ve blocked that number now.

I can't believe what's been happening with this firm - they're ringing me up to fifteen times daily! I requested that they remove me from their list, but their response was appalling, filled with crude language. I’ve been inundated with calls from 07775647566. Every time it’s the same chap with a strong Indian accent. There's always an annoying lag, as if the call's coming from overseas. Whenever I inquire about the business he’s representing, the line mysteriously cuts off. I suspect they’re trying to confirm if my number is active, especially since I’ve been bombarded with dodgy texts. I’ve taken the step of blocking the number, and I’ve also reported the spam messages to my provider by passing them along to 7726, not to mention filing a complaint with the ICO.
