I got a call from this number and it was some bloke called Steve from CARPROTECT trying to sell me an extended car warranty. When I asked how they got hold of my phone number, he told me they either buy it from AA or some insurance company. So yeah, that's where they got it from!

I picked up since it showed up as a mobile number rather than a landline. The guy on the other end greeted me by name and had a kinda Indian accent. He mentioned something about helping me with debt consolidation. When I told him I didn’t owe anything, he went quiet for a second and then just ended the call. I’ve blocked that number now.

My mate picked up my phone and some one claiming to be from a Verification Centre called. They said I wasn’t around so just ended the call. When I tried ringing back that number, it just went straight to a Vodafone voicemail! The number was 07775 647566.

When I asked where they were calling from, the bloke said his name was Owen but never mentioned a company or location. It made me uncomfortable so I just hung up. Tried ringing the number again to check who they were, but it just went to a Vodafone voicemail thing. Something definitely fishy there. I've blocked the number now.

I tried to explain, but he suddenly started talking about debts, which threw me off. I asked how he even found my details, then the line just went dead and he hung up. This number has rung me up a few times this week, all in the afternoon. Twice I missed the calls, but today I actually picked up and there was nobody speaking. I could hear a lot of noise in the background, sounded like one of those overseas call centres. This number rang me yesterday (26/08/15) but I missed it, so I tried calling back, only to be sent to voicemail immediately. Then today, they called again, and when I picked up, a guy started talking about some random stuff but somehow already knew my name. I saved the number and looked it up on WhatsApp, where the profile said: "DON'T PICK UP THIS NUMBER! Someone else’s using my number in a scam call centre overseas! The cops know about it!"

I keep getting calls from some debt collection firm, and honestly, they’re really pushy and quite unpleasant. When I told the guy I wasn’t interested, he just got really hostile. I've been getting calls from these lot nearly 15 times daily! I told them to remove me from their calls, but they rudely told me to shove off. I was stunned and ended the call, only for them to ring back and hurl all sorts of insults at me! They're supposed to be a debt management firm, but then they wanted me to verify my bank details and even asked for my PIN. That's when I got really wary and told them to stop contacting me.

Keeps ringing me from 07775647566, always the same bloke with an Indian accent. There's this weird lag like it's an overseas call. Every time I ask who’s calling or what firm they’re from, the call just cuts off. Feels like they’re just trying to see if my number’s active since I keep getting loads of spam messages too. I got a call from this number, but I didn't pick up since I use apps that stop some calls from coming through. When I tried calling back, it just went straight to voicemail. If anyone sees this, I’d recommend downloading Truecaller from the Google Play Store. You can set it to block private numbers and if there's numbers you don't know, Truecaller can block them for you automatically too. Caller: unknown.
