Today, I found a leaflet shoved through my letterbox from some outfit called J O Vans and Cars. Apparently, they were looking for my son. They claimed to have knocked beforehand, but he didn't manage to answer in time. I’ve got a transit van parked on the driveway, and I can't shake the feeling that this all seems a bit dodgy. Has anyone else experienced something similar? I'm located in the Stoke-on-Trent region, just in case it matters.

Indeed, a gentleman presumably in his late fifties or sixties rang my doorbell and asked if I was selling my car. I firmly told him that it was neither for sale now nor ever would be. My vehicle was parked on the drive in such a way that it wasn't easily visible unless one approached very closely. Despite my clear response, he insisted on pushing a business card into my hand. Interestingly, my neighbour witnessed this peculiar encounter. She described the driver as somewhat stocky, and noted that they cruised slowly into our close, seemingly on the lookout for something. I've also noticed that they had children seated in the back of a blue Vauxhall Zafira. I've taken the precaution of reporting this incident to the local authorities for further investigation.
