Got a call from an automated scam number.

They called a couple of times but no message was left. My provider mentioned the caller wouldn’t show their number. So yeah, nothing to actually hear, right?

They said they were some legal group threatening me with court over supposedly using my national insurance number fraudulently. It sounded like a robotic voice at first, but once I told them “are you listening [email protected]@k OFF”, they just hung up. Don’t fall for this automated scam, it’s definitely not legit.

Watch out for these lot, they’re proper dodgy. For ages they’ve been ringing me from all sorts of numbers, trying to get personal details outta me. Today, they pretended to be Aviva life insurance, claiming they could sort me a better deal than my current one! How on earth did they know I had an Aviva policy? It’s well creepy. Honestly, just hang up straight away and don’t get caught out.

Some bloke with a funny accent saying he was from Citizens Advice, said he was just updating their info. Then he went on about wanting details on any debts and life insurance I had. Like Citizens Advice would be asking about that sort of stuff. Ended the call and blocked the number straight away.

Somebody said they were ringing from Citizen's Advice Bureau, doing a survey for the Financial Conduct Authority. They wanted me to verify my address, but I didn't trust it and just ended the call.

Got a call from someone claiming to be the CAB, but it seemed a bit dodgy. I told them the Citizens Advice Bureau don't just ring people out of the blue - you’re supposed to get in touch with them first. After that, the person started swearing and then cut the line. Definitely a scam.
