I told them my dad died years ago, about 7 in fact, and after that the guy got really nasty, swearing and threatening to come after me. Proper freaky stuff, these people. Today, someone rang me up asking for my partner. When I asked who was calling, they wouldn’t tell me. Then I asked if they were her boyfriend, and they said no, but claimed they were in love with her and wanted to win her over.

If they keep pestering you, just cut them off early and mention you’ll report them - they’ll drop the line straight away since they don’t seem to care about the time or day at all.
