I picked up a call and got an automated message saying my National Insurance number was being misused in Wales and I could face legal action. Pretty clear it was a con, the message asked me to press 1 to stop any prosecution. I went ahead and pressed 1, then a woman with a strong South Asian accent answered - I figured that out since I’m South Asian too. She wanted my information but I called her out as a scammer straight away, then she just hung up on me. I’ve blocked the number since then.
