I got a call from 07784 623165 supposedly from the UK government about some debt relief and IVA stuff. I asked where they got my details from since GDPR should protect my info, but he just kept insisting it was given by the government. When I called it out as a scam and questioned why a government rep would be calling from a mobile number, he got all defensive saying it wasn’t a scam.

Got a call yesterday from 07773 549101, claiming to be from a government debt office. When I told the person to stop ringing me, they started saying they liked my voice. I threatened to inform the police, and then the caller suddenly sounded apologetic before making a weird comment about ‘going to ### mel’. I’ve now reported it to the police and had to get a new phone number. Definitely stay clear of this number!

Proper scammer ringing me loads from what they say is some credit checking dept. They’ve got a thick Asian accent and have phoned me like 4 times now. I blocked the number but they keep coming from new ones. When I try to ring back, it’s just an automated voice saying the number’s no good. Seems like they’re faking the caller ID or something. Best not to pick up or you’ll just be wasting your time.

I get calls like this about 3 times weekly. Always some bloke with an Asian accent claiming he’s calling from the citizens advice bureau, asking about my debts. Funny thing is, he always uses my old married name, which I haven’t had in over 7 years. When I tell him that, without giving away my current surname, he still goes on asking about my debt situation. I normally just hang up and block the number, but a different one pops up a few days later.

Got a call tonight around 7pm from an Asian bloke claiming to be from Citizens Advice about unpaid debts. He knew my name and address but when I asked if he had my job details, he said no. So I told him, “I’m a detective lead investigator with the Metropolitan Police fraud unit.” His response was just “Oh f***!” before he quickly hung up. Honestly, I wish I’d recorded that call, it cracked me up!

Decided to google the number and ended up here (cheers for that). Honestly, these kind of calls really wind me up, so next time they better be ready for it. 07773549101 - guy with an Asian accent called me asking for me by my name, said I didn’t know him then he actually gave my address! Then he said to pass on a message about a delivery not coming today but before 11am tomorrow. I told him I never ordered anything, he mentioned something about a “japanese wrap or whatever”. I said again I don’t know anyone like that. Then he just hung up. Creepy that he had my name and address!

TOTALLY A SCAM, REALLY FOOLISH GUY WOULDN'T LISTEN. HE EVEN CLAIMED TO BE FROM THE UK GOVERNMENT ABOUT DEBT HELP. WHEN I ASKED QUESTIONS AND SAID I DON'T OWE ANYTHING, HE JUST HANGED UP ON ME. BEST TO JUST NOT PICK UP IF IT CALLS YOU. KINDA CREEPY THAT HE KNEW MY NAME THOUGH.

Got a call from 07773549101 on 15/09/15 at 11:28am, a bloke with an Indian/Pakistani accent who said his name was Jack Thomas from some credit investigation agency. I firmly told him I didn’t buy it and he just hung up on me. Can't say what I really think about these lot! Best just to ignore calls from this number!!

I got a call from this Indian bloke, seemed like he was tryin to be friendly but kept askin if I owe any money. When I said no, he goes on like, "Are you really sure?" Got a call on my mobile from a bloke who gave my full name right away. He claimed to be Mike from the Citizen's Advice Bureau and said it was about some debts I supposedly had. I replied, "That sounds dodgy, how did you come by my number?" Then he just hung up on me. When I tried calling back, the number was dead - said it wasn't in service.

Got a call from this number today at 14:54. A woman with a heavy Pakistani/Asian accent answered. When I asked who it was, she said they were from the citizens advice bureau about some debt. I told her to remove me from their list and stop calling. She then refused and was really rude and short with me, so I ended the call. Reported it to the ICO - if we don’t report these things, nothing changes. Might as well try and stop these scam callers! This number is blocked now.

Got a call from someone claiming to be an agency working for the CAB about some unpaid debt. When I told them I didn’t owe anything, they asked why I was sobbing, which really threw me off! I just ended the call because it felt creepy. Tried ringing back but it said I’d dialed the wrong number.

Got a call on 12/08/15 at about 12:08 from some bloke claiming he was from the credit investigation team, saying I owe some money. As soon as I told him I didn’t, he just went quiet and ended the call.

On Wednesday 12th August around 11:30 in the morning, I received a call from someone saying they were with a government-backed group. They told me my name was on a list of folks who supposedly owed money. They seemed to know my name and asked me to confirm it was really me. Then they questioned if I had any debts over £5000 on credit cards or loans. I replied no, and then they just ended the call. Bit odd they used my mobile to ring me.

On 12/8/15 around 11:19, I got a call from 07773549101 saying they were from the CAB about some debt I supposedly owe. The bloke had an Indian accent and there was a weird pause when I answered. Felt like one of those call centre calls. When I asked a few questions, he just cut me off. It's worrying how they already know your name and number.
