I had a rather intriguing encounter with a chap who goes by the name Ian Cree, hailing from Glasgow, during my jaunts on The Daily Telegraph dating platform. This fellow was quite the caller, reaching out to me on a daily basis. Upon our initial contact, he mentioned he was about to part ways with the site, so we switched to texting. Eventually, we decided it was time to meet in person, and I even booked a flight to Scotland. However, just a week prior to my travelling, he sent me a message claiming his business was in a rather precarious financial situation. With a cheeky tone, he asked if I happened to know anyone who could lend him a whopping £80,000. I simply replied with a concerned "ow," to which he responded with a wry "yes, a big ow." He assured me he would get in touch once his issues were sorted. Now, five months down the line, it’s become crystal clear that I fell for yet another ruse.
