Got a call at 12:41 in the morning! My dad's really ill in hospital, so I freaked out a bit. No one picked up when I called back. I sent a text asking who it was, but no reply. Checked this site and honestly, it must be some overseas scammer who forgot about the time difference!

Got a call from this number around 10am today. An automated voice said it was a transfer from British Telecom, warning me my internet and phone would be disconnected. I hung up before listening to the whole thing. Totally spam, without a doubt. Surely the phone providers should take action against these scammers. I'm on the TPS list as well, but it clearly makes no difference.

Missed a call from this number and went to check if it appeared anywhere else on my phone. Strangely, a text was sent from my phone to this number saying "Sorry I can't talk right now. Call back later," but I defo didn't send that. I was alone and don’t have any auto-reply set up, so no clue how that happened. Really odd! My phone usually alerts me about spam or telemarketers and it flagged this one as a potential scam. Also got calls from two other numbers close to the same time: +9825194321 and 01513293226.

Got a call from this number, some Indian bloke claiming he was from Nationwide and said he wasn’t selling me anything. I asked what he wanted, and he said could I confirm my name, address and DOB. Got a call from this number claiming to be from Lloyds TSB. He asked if I still banked with Lloyds and I told him if he really was from Lloyds, he’d already know that. This number is linked with 07703 294 295, from the same lot. They also ring from landlines starting with 0121 and 0161, plus some numbers that don’t let you return the call. The caller ID is definitely faked. By the accents, they’re definitely not local. They were really rude, even racist and abusive. I’ve reported them to OfCom and the telephone regulators, but I’m not expecting much to come of it!

Got a call from a bloke claiming to be from TSB, asking me to confirm some details. I wasn’t taking any chances, so I told him there’s no way I was sharing my info, then I just ended the call. Sorted by blocking him straight away!

Like a lot of people here, I got a call from an Asian guy who asked me my name. But when I questioned what the call was about, he just ended the call straight away.

Someone rang me up asking if I lived here, but when I wanted to know why they were calling, they just kept pressing for my address. Then when I asked where they were calling from, the person said it was the bbc or something like that. After asking me for my address again and me asking why they were ringing, they just cut off.

This number rang me but I missed the call, so I tried ringing back only to get a message saying the number isn’t valid. After reading through the comments here, it seems like a total SCAM. I’d say it’s best to just block it and not bother.

I got a call from 07773306461 and an Indian guy asked if he was speaking to me by name. I asked him who he was but before he could answer, he just cut the call. I’ve since blocked the number.

I got a call from someone saying they were with the BCC. They already had my name, age, and even my home address! Then they asked about my bank. I told them I wasn’t happy sharing that and ended the call right away. Straight into the block list!

Loads of calls came through from 07773306461, a bloke with an Asian accent saying he’s from BCC. He kicked off asking about my details, even guessed what he reckoned was my postcode. When I kept asking why he was calling, he just snapped "F##k YOU" and hung up straight away.

Got a call from an Asian man saying he was calling from Barclays. We don’t use them, so I asked what he wanted. He started asking for our postcode and age. I told him we don’t have an account with Barclays and ended the call quickly. Pretty sure it was a scammer just fishing for details. Blocked the number right after.

Got a call from someone claiming to be with Lloyds Bank, asking me to verify who I was. I gave them some details, then they asked for my postcode. I figured straight away it wasn't legit because the bank already has all that info. Definitely a scam, so I just ended the call.

Got a call from this number claiming to be from Barclays. The guy started asking loads of personal stuff and some really dumb questions. I said no and asked his name, he said Daniel Watson, but his accent was clearly Asian which didn’t add up. When I kept refusing to give info and started questioning him instead, he suddenly swore at me and just hung up. Proper dodgy behaviour.

I had a similar experience - got a call from a guy with an Asian accent who wanted me to verify my details. When I asked which company he was ringing from, he claimed it was Lloyds Bank. He kept pushing me to confirm who I was, but I held back. Then he asked for my postcode, which I deliberately gave wrong, but he insisted it was correct. I just kept questioning who he said he was working for and eventually he lost interest and ended the call.

Got called twice this morning by what I can only describe as total nutters. My rule is, if they don’t bother leaving a voicemail, then it’s not something I need to waste my time on. So yeah, they’re blocked for good now!
