They just hung up as soon as the answer machine started. Didn’t even wait for me to pick up properly, quite rude to not give an elderly lady a chance to get to the phone.

Don’t pick up and just block it! Some bloke calling himself (something) Jefferson chats about trading stuff and GBP, but honestly, I barely got what company he was from. He was shouting like he was in the garden, with a strong Asian accent. Told him a few times to take my info off their records and quit ringing me, but he just carried on trying to persuade me. After the third time, I just hung up and blocked the number - it wasn’t even a proper phone number, only 10 digits. Totally weird!

I got a call from what seemed like a call centre and they just shouted "HELLO!" at me. When I replied with a "Hello" back, they suddenly ended the call. Strange behaviour if you ask me.

These calls are driving me crazy. I usually hold the phone without saying anything, just waiting for them to start talking first. As soon as they do, I can tell it’s some kind of sales pitch. I just don’t answer back and leave the phone there. Honestly, I’m so over getting these annoying calls.

Got a call from a woman with an Asian accent, but she sounded like she was really far off. She kept calling me by my first name and asking how I was doing. I told her I couldn’t hear properly and just ended up hanging up.

Got a call from this bloke saying he was from some trading firm. The way he was talking was totally unprofessional, plus the connection was awful, and I swear you could hear road noise like he was driving or something.

Got a call from a bloke saying he works in trading, but when I asked what firm, he said he’s just a freelancer. Didn’t want to accept a no, so I ended the call. These calls are really getting on my nerves now. I checked with the TPS and they said it’s illegal to call numbers on the list, but it clearly doesn’t make a difference. Really, TPS, what’s even the use of signing up if these lot still get through to us?

I’m really sick of getting calls from pushy people who just keep going even when I say no. I’m disabled, so why on earth would I be interested in trading? Honestly, if these calls don’t stop, I’ll have no choice but to report it to the police.

Some lass named Jade rang me, said she was calling from some financial trading place. She sounded like she was stood outside somewhere noisy in London. I told her a couple of times I’m a disabled pensioner, so why would I need anything to do with financial trading? Then she had the nerve to ask what language I was speaking! As a proper Geordie born and bred, I told her where to stick it.
