Received a call from a man with an Indian accent saying I was paying too much for my life insurance premiums. He knew my name and asked if I'd got a policy in the last 2, 3, or 5 years. When I asked which company he was talking about, he told me to speak to a colleague. A woman came on within seconds, again asking if I’d taken out life cover recently. I asked again which company it was with, and she said I needed to give them the info. When I pressed again to find out the company's name, she ended the call.

This number keeps ringing me up, a guy sounding Indian but using a British name keeps asking about Life Insurance stuff and what not. I told him loads of times to take me off their list but he just ends the call. I’ve just blocked the number now.

This guy with a thick Indian accent kept saying my name over and over. Then I got another call from a withheld number after I ignored the first one, offering pretty much the same stuff. Weirdly, their WhatsApp status shows a white woman in her 40s or 50s just staring with two eyes. Totally unwanted and pointless calls coming from this number.

Some bloke from India rang me up, already knew my name and asked if I received any government help for heating systems. He really wanted to know what type of heating I have. I just said it was gas. As soon as I told him we don’t get any government benefits, he just hung up. Bit strange if you ask me.

Somebody said they were from the consumer finance cops asking about a loan I supposedly took out. Seemed really suspicious, so I ended the call before they could say more.

Got two calls from this man today who already knew my name! He claimed to be from British Transport and Finance - whatever that is?! Said I’d taken a loan before and recently settled it, but apparently I overpaid because I included insurance costs. I just told him no thanks and ended the call!

Got a call from an Indian guy who said his name was Peter. He knew my name already and said he was with some financial services in the UK. When I asked if he was with a government department, he said it was linked to the Ministry of Justice. Then I asked where he got my number from and he just cut the call. Really worrying that he had my mobile number and knew my name like that.

Got about 14 missed calls from some bloke with a foreign accent, shouting he’s from a government programme or something. Put him straight on the block list but then he started calling from a private number. Proper awful guy.

They claimed to be from some green company linked to the government, but I couldn’t really make out what they were on about. They said something about free boiler replacements and started asking about how much money we make and how many kids I’ve got. Proper cheeky and rude! Feels like a total scam to me.

Got a call from someone claiming to be Goldman's Solicitors asking if I was the owner of the house. Then he asked if my name was J Russell. When I said no, he went on to ask "since I have you on the line, are you the homeowner?" It all sounded fishy so I just ended the call!

Some bloke called from a consumer survey team, wouldn’t give his name, said he could send me a £50 Marks and Spencer voucher either by email or post. He asked me to confirm my name and postcode, both of which he already knew. I didn't confirm anything and told him I was too busy to chat right then. He kept pestering me so I just hung up on him.
