Got a call from some bloke claiming to be from Microsoft support - sounded like an Asian accent. Definitely a scam, so watch out for those!

I picked up the phone, but there was nobody speaking directly to me; just some background chatter in the distance.

This number called me, and some bloke with an American accent said he was from Microsoft Support. He mentioned an attempt to activate Microsoft on one of our laptops, which is odd because we’re not really using any laptops at the moment. He did know our name and where we live, which was a bit unsettling. I didn’t give him any info, and he said he'd look into it and contact me again. Something about it just doesn’t sit right - feels like a scam if you ask me.

Got an automated call about a £900 charge on my VISA card - they didn't say which one. It said it might be fraud and to press one if it wasn’t recognised. Definitely sounded dodgy to me.
