got a call from some asian guy claiming he was from citizens advice, saying I owed unsecured debts. told him to stop messing about and that I’ve no debts at all, plus there’s no chance citizens advice would call me out of the blue about that. asked who he was actually working for and he just hung up. don’t get caught out by stuff like this.

Loads of dodgy calls coming from fake 0777 numbers, most likely from scammers in Pakistan. They’ll try to trick you into handing over your personal and bank info to commit fraud and steal your identity. Best thing to do is just block and ignore them, never share any details. These people are proper scum.

Got a call from this number from a bloke with an Asian accent, saying he was from some cab company and asking if I owed any money. When I asked where he found my number, he got loud and said it didn’t matter and that if I wasn’t gonna take help with my “debt” (which I don’t have btw) then I must be daft. I asked for a manager and he told me to go away and hung up! He even wanted my address to post something! Ridiculous! Blocked the number straight away!!

Got a call from a guy who said he was from some credit agency. He called me with my full name and claimed I had unpaid loans and credit cards. I told him I’ve never had a credit card before. He sounded unsure and asked again if I was sure. I said yes, and then he just quickly said sorry for bothering me and hung up. Honestly, now I’m feeling pretty stressed out about it.

What really bugs me about this call is as soon as you say you don’t owe any money, they just drop the line. Makes me wonder what they’re actually after since you never find out why they rang in the first place.

This number called me earlier today and I ended the call twice. These lot keep phoning from different mobiles and ask if I owe any money, then hang up as soon as I say no.
