Just got a call from someone claiming to be with BT, saying there’s an issue with my internet and that my IP address is visible to everyone. They told me they have this ‘AI tool’ that can fix it. Total scam, don’t fall for it. They want you to download some software which actually gives them control over your computer. Once they’re in, they could steal your bank info or even lock you out of your own PC until you cough up money. Stay clear and don’t trust these calls.
