They said it was about ppi, and since I’m dealing with a claim myself right now, I told them my address but didn’t share any other info. Really annoying since I’m pretty sure this is their second call; the first time, I didn’t say a word. Definitely seems a bit dodgy to me.

I got a call from a woman with an accent claiming she worked at some rebate firm. She just dropped the phone on me.

Got a call from someone saying they were an ombudsman here to sort out PPI compensation. They asked for my bank details like the sort code and account number, but I refused. The person got really rude and sarcastic, so I just ended the call. After they kept ringing me again and again, I had to block the number.

Got a call from 07771334785 claiming to be from the PPI refund team, using my name and address. They said I was eligible for a PPI refund. I thought I’d humour them and waste some time - figured the longer I keep them busy, the less chance they have to rip someone else off. I kept them going for a good half hour, feeding them bogus birth dates and fake bank info. Eventually, they tried pushing life insurance, warning me I’d lose half my supposed PPI if I didn’t buy it. At least I managed to eat up thirty minutes of their scam time!

Got a call from 07771334785, some bloke saying he was from the national ppi refund centre and wanted my bank info. I asked him straight up who was supposed to be refunding my ppi, but all he did was repeat it was from the national ppi refund centre. Then he told me to google ppi refund so I'd understand. I told him I already knew what ppi was, cheers, but who exactly was sending the money? He just wouldn’t say. I told him to send me a letter instead since I’m not handing out bank details over the phone, and he just hung up on me. Honestly, do these scammers think we're all daft or what?!

I got a call from some woman saying I was due a PPI refund. Sounded a bit dodgy, she kept going on about taking out life insurance and then said I'd get £2800 in my account. She asked for my bank details, and when I tried to call back, the number was switched off. Definitely don’t trust these calls!

I picked up but said nothing, a guy with a strange accent who somehow knew my name quickly hung up when I didn’t reply. Honestly, I have no idea where these numbers are coming from or how to put an end to the constant ringing. Anyone know how they get hold of your number?

They called, said nothing when I stayed quiet, but somehow knew my name before just hanging up. No clue what that was about, but it definitely gave me the creeps!
