This number rang me up, and it was one of those automated messages claiming to be from the HMRC. It said I had some sort of pending claim that I needed to sort out. The message then asked me to press 1 to talk to a government official. I hit 1, waited about half a minute, but then it hit me that no official HMRC or UK government person would be calling from a 077 number! So I quickly ended the call and blocked the number straight away.
