I received a rather perplexing call from a chappie in what appeared to be a rather raucous setting-one could swear it was a pub, though I doubt it was. He was touting some sort of network marketing services to supposedly benefit our business. The real kicker? He dialled our home number, which is registered with the Phone Preference Service. To say we were unimpressed would be an understatement. The woman on the line insisted it was perfectly acceptable for them to reach out to us since she was ‘offering a service’ rather than trying to sell us anything. Quite absurd really!

I received a call the other day that was utterly drowned out by what sounded like a bustling pub atmosphere - though I don’t think it actually was one.
