Someone rang me pretending to be from Visa, saying there was a dodgy £900 purchase on my Amazon account and asked if I wanted to stop the payment. I told them I hadn’t bought anything like that, then they said they’d transfer me to the cancellation team so I could sort it out. After that, they asked what type of phone I had. The guy sounded like he was in a busy call centre, loads of noise in the background, spoke with an Indian accent, and his English wasn’t great. I ended up just cutting the call off.
