Got a call earlier from a lady with an Asian accent claiming to be from O2. When I told her she sounded like a scammer, she asked what made me think that. I said it was down to her accent. Sadly, the BBC won’t let you mention stuff like that as it might be seen as discrimination. I get why, but I reckon it’s important our elderly or vulnerable folks know that’s a sign to be wary of scams.

Got a call from a lady with an Asian accent claiming to be from O2 today. As soon as I told her she sounded like a scammer, she asked why I thought that. I said it was because of her accent, and she hung up straight away. I know the BBC scam watchdog can't really say stuff like this as it might be seen as discrimination, but honestly, you need to be careful. Especially older people and neighbours who might be more vulnerable should watch out, cos an Asian accent often rings alarm bells for a dodgy scam call.
