I got a call from someone claiming they needed to give me a refund of £xxx.xx for some computer work I supposedly paid for over six months back, but said they couldn’t deliver the service anymore. They then asked me to get on my computer and log in so they could uninstall the program they had installed. When I told them I could uninstall it myself if they just told me what the software was, they just cut me off. Sounds like a clever twist on an old scam to me. Best to just hang up straight away, it might even cost you through a premium rate number!
