I got a call saying they had to cancel insurance on my fridge, washing machine, TV and that I'd get a £230 refund. I didn’t catch what company he was even with. I told him fine, just send a cheque for the refund. Of course, he then said they couldn't do that since I’d paid by card. I told him to stop messing about, he was clearly a scammer, and hung up straight away.
