A chap rang me up regarding some sort of accident compensation. When I firmly stated that I wouldn’t divulge any details, he retorted, “I can’t remove you from our system if you don’t cooperate.” I maintained my stance, to which he curtly replied, “In that case, just block the number; we’ve got plenty more.” I’m absolutely fuming! I received a couple of calls from this number. The first instance, I chose to let it ring off as it wasn't recognised on my contact list, but during the second attempt, I decided to return the call, thinking it might be someone familiar since it appeared to be a typical mobile number. Unfortunately, all I got was an answering machine when I called back, and I only attempted it twice. After checking my phone bill, I was surprised to find they charged me £1.50 for each call.
