I rang 0776-419-4567 again later that evening just to double check if it was really a funeral parlour. But when a bloke picked up this time, he answered with a dodgy accent and said "hello Cecilia" before I even got a chance to speak. I said nothing and hung up straight away. My name’s definitely not Cecilia. Earlier that day, the number seemed to be for a funeral home, but now it sounded more like some personal line - which felt pretty sketchy to me.

On Monday 26th February 2018, in West London, I got a call from the number 764-194-567 just a few hours after I switched my old phone number over to a new one. The weird thing is, I hadn’t given my new number out at all, except I’d used my mobile to ring it once to see if it was working. Anyway, I didn’t pick up the call on my new landline. Later, there was a voicemail from them saying they were from a funeral service. Honestly, I was properly shaken up getting a message like that from a funeral home!
