He said there was a team nearby who could fix it for £5,000. Thankfully, I’ve spent years dealing with scams and had already warned my parents about dodgy callers, so they were immediately suspicious. The guy couldn’t show any ID or say which company he was from. We’ve reported the whole thing to the cops as dodgy traders trying to con them.Liam2 yearsA chap claiming to represent an energy firm reached out, stating they had previously handled some work on our roof back in February 2021. He mentioned that their technician is nearby and keen to inspect the job for a fresh certificate. The thing is, we didn’t have any work done during that period, which raises a few eyebrows.
