Got a call from someone with an overseas accent saying I’d set up an account back in 2019 using my landline and email. She mentioned it was some kind of bitcoin account worth around £50,000 that could be converted. Then she said we needed to run through “security checks” before talking about paying me. Honest advice: don’t share any bank details with random callers. Legit financial firms would never handle things like this over the phone. Stay cautious!

I had a call from this number right around lunchtime, but it only lasted a few seconds and they didn’t leave any voicemail. Trying to figure out if it was spam was really tricky, which made me think it could be quite risky. For that reason, i’ve marked it as DANGEROUS.
